The County Food Hub, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing food security initiatives and supporting local food entrepreneurs, is seeking volunteer Board Members to help guide and strengthen our mission.

Located at the Sophiasburgh Central School, the County Food Hub offers a unique and valuable resource, providing affordable preparation, packaging, and storage facilities to food security organizations and entrepreneurs. In addition, the Hub fosters community engagement by hosting cooking clubs for seniors and teenagers, as well as specialty cooking courses led by local chefs, all aimed at promoting food literacy. The CFH is also the proud home of the weekly PEC Fresh Market.

The organization relies on a combination of fundraising, grants, and rental revenue to support its operations and initiatives.

The Board will provide strategic direction to the Executive Director, Melissa Tran, and its committees will focus on key areas such as fundraising, program development, volunteer engagement, marketing and communications, tenant recruitment, and revenue generation.

If you are interested in joining our Board of Directors, please submit your resume by January 15, 2025, to hello@countyfoodhub.ca.
